Almost everything went wrong for the The Miami Dolphins Last week, the team was crushed by its division rival, lost starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to injured reserve and suffered a few injuries along an already thin offensive line.

Now it’s time for the Dolphins to show what they’re made of, says veteran defender Calais Campbell.

“Good teams don’t lose two games in a row,” Campbell said. “It’s all about circumstances, but in this business you have to find ways to win. When you’re on the road, you have to use your special teams and your defense.”

“The message is to focus on the little details, try to make sure we execute at a high level with a lot of enthusiasm and effort and just play football.”

Miami will be without Tagovailoa for at least four games and is looking to third-year quarterback Skylar Thompson to lead the charge, at least temporarily. And the Dolphins don’t have much wiggle room to contend while Thompson is at the helm.

Elsewhere in the AFC East, the Buffalo Bills are 2-0 off to a 2-0 start and have already picked up a head-to-head win over the Dolphins. The New York Jets also look in good shape after dismantling the New England Patriots 24-3 to improve to 2-1 on the year.

If the Dolphins want to prove they’re contenders, Campbell is right that there isn’t much room for error.
