Kansas City Chiefs Head coach Andy Reid spoke to the media before Thursday’s practice. He gave his thoughts on newly acquired Joshua Uche’s chances of playing on Monday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“We had the advantage of having played against him, so we know he’s very aggressive, good passer, good all-around player, but passer,” Reid said. So we’re going to work it with the defensive line in terms of rotation. As long as he can handle everything, I wouldn’t expect him not to. But today he will start working there and getting used to what we do.

In his 58 career games, the former Michigan Wolverine has 20.5 sacks and 19 tackles for loss.

“We know how important this position is, and adding it to the mix is something that helps us as a football team; I would tell you that’s why we did this,” Reid said. “Yes, I think there’s a good chance; we’ll see though. (regarding the availability of Uche on Monday).

Uche is a well-known passer who will have the chance to make big plays in the Chiefs’ already highly touted defense.
