Isaiah Hodgins will get his chance to shine on Sunday.
New York Giants elevated wide receiver from his practice squad to his active roster ahead of Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers in Germany, the team announced Sunday morning.
Hodgins’ elevation resulted from wide receiver Darius Slayton being ruled out of the game while in the NFL’s concussion protocol. The Giants are expected to start Malik Nabers and Jalin Hyatt, with Wan’Dale Robinson as their third wide receiver. However, Hodgins should be given the opportunity to contribute.
The former Oregon State Beavers star appeared in two games this season. Hodgins was on the field for 25 snaps in the Giants’ 29-20 Week 5 win over the Seattle Seahawks. He played 15 snaps and caught a five-yard pass in the Giants’ 17-7 Week 6 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
