3 ruled out, 1 player questionable for Vikings vs. Titans in NFL Week 11

The Minnesota Vikings had an injury scare last week when Aaron Jones went out with what looked like a painful rib injury. He was shown on the broadcast being carried from the sideline to the locker room, but was able to return to the field late in the Vikings’ ugly 12-7 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jones had all his concerns put to rest this week when he was able to practice on Wednesday. He reached full participation Friday and will be at full tilt Sunday (1 p.m. EST) against the Tennessee Titans in Nashville.

The Vikings (7-2) are about as healthy as a team could hope to enter Week 11 of the regular season. The Titans (2-7) are still trying to learn how to win under first-year head coach Brian Callahan, and they have some notable injuries on defense that could make it difficult against any of the offensive attacks the most efficient in the NFL.

Here’s a complete team-by-team injury breakdown, with the latest updates from Friday’s final practice reports:

Vikings vs. Titans: Full injury designations

    Minnesota Vikings

    Out

    • OLB Gabriel Murphy (knee)

Murphy was ruled out earlier this week. This could be more of a numbers game for the Vikings, as the exciting undrafted rookie out of UCLA practiced in full Thursday and Friday. His 21-day practice window opened on Nov. 6, so his NFL debut could come in Week 12. With Murphy remaining on injured reserve, Minnesota will have its full roster of 53 players available against the Titans.

    Tennessee Titans

    Out

Sneed has been limited to just five games this season for the Titans, and some recent social media activity seems to suggest he’s been unhappy so far in Nashville. His absence shouldn’t present a ton of additional opportunities for Minnesota, as Sneed has struggled to return to the form that earned him a over four years, $76.4 million free agent contract this offseason. According to PFF player ratingsSneed is ranked No. 109 – dead last – among cornerbacks in 2024.

    • RT Leroy Watson IV (return)

Watson was unable to practice this week, meaning the Titans’ revolving door at right tackle will continue on Sunday. John Ojukwu, an undrafted free agent signed in 2023, replaced Watson in last week’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Tennessee will return Nicholas Petit-Frere to start against Minnesota. The entire line figures to have its hands full against a Vikings defense that attacks the quarterback as well as any football team.

    Questionable

The veteran was promoted from the practice squad on Nov. 2 and has played a role on special teams in each of the Titans’ last two games. He has yet to play a game on defense this season. Hardee missed Thursday’s practice and was able to log a limited session Friday.
