Emmanuel Moseley is back and ready for action. THE Detroit Lions activated the veteran cornerback from injured reserve before the team’s trip to Indianapolis in Week 12.
Moseley has been out since tearing a pectoral muscle during the preseason. The oft-injured veteran played the role of first-team cornerback before his unfortunate injury, a role now (very ably) filled by Amik Robertson.
Moseley was cursed with injuries. He missed the final 13 games of the 2022 NFL season with the 49ers after tearing his ACL. The Lions signed him as a free agent and waited until he was healthy enough to play, only to lose Moseley to another torn ACL after just four snaps. He then tore his pectorals this summer.
The Lions designated Moseley for return two weeks ago. His 21-day activation window didn’t expire until after the Lions played the Colts, but an injury to CB Ennis Rakestraw hastened Moseley’s return. Moseley was placed on IR in a correlated roster move.
The Lions also elevated newly signed linebacker David Long from the practice squad to the game day roster. Earlier in the day, CB Terrion Arnold was ruled out due to injury.
