What should I know about the 49ers?
San Francisco, last year’s NFC champion who lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, is 5-6 this season and is coming off a 38-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
The 49ers were without starting quarterback Brock Purdy in the loss due to a shoulder injury, with Brandon Allen starting in his place. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Sunday morning that the 49ers believe Purdy will be able to return against Buffalo.
Since returning from injury, star running back Christian McCaffrey has averaged 49.7 yards per game on the ground and has yet to score a touchdown.
On defense, lineman Nick Bosa is tied for 14th in the league with 7.0 sacks this season.
This will be the first time since 2020 that the Bills and 49ers have faced off, a 34-24 victory for Buffalo. The last time San Francisco visited Highmark Stadium was in 2016.
Bet line
As of Monday, the Bills are 6.5-point favorites on FanDuel SportsBook.
Next game
The Bills will travel to the West Coast to face the Los Angeles Rams at 4:25 p.m. on December 8.
