THE Arizona Cardinals will face the Minnesota Vikings on the road this weekend in Week 13. The Vikings had two injuries to watch this week on injury reports to two starters, one on offense and one on defense.
Left tackle Cam Robinson shut out the Vikings’ 30-27 overtime win over the Chicago Bears in the first quarter. He injured his foot from which he did not return.
Head coach Kevin O’Connell was optimistic about Monday’s injury, saying it was similar to the one Robinson dealt with not long ago.
“I’m pretty confident it’s very similar, and he was able to get through it, so we’ll see how he reacts,” O’Connell said. He emphasized that he had no timeline and that the team was in “evaluation mode.”
Robinson was acquired in a trade after starting left tackle Christian Darrisaw suffered a season-ending knee injury. David Quessenberry is the backup tackle on the roster.
Likewise, the Vikings lost linebacker Ivan Pace to a hamstring injury during the game. He didn’t come back.
Pace has 59 tackles, three sacks, six tackles for loss and six quarterback hits this season.
The first injury report of the week for both teams will be released Wednesday afternoon after both teams practice.
