The 2024 campaign has been a complete disaster for the Jacksonville Jaguars, as evidenced by their 2-9 record heading into their Week 13 matchup against the Houston Texans. One thing that went well for the team, however, happened on the offensive line, with Walker Little emerging as a key piece of Trevor Lawrence’s protection unit.
Following Jacksonville’s trade of Cam Robinson to the Minnesota Vikings, they inserted Little at left tackle, and he has been a standout performer for them. This earned Little a new contract from the team, with both sides agreeing to a deal. $45 million extension over three years just hours before facing the Texans.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, “A new deal in Jacksonville hours before today’s game against Houston: The Jaguars sign starting left tackle Walker Little to a three-year, $45 million extension, including $26 million of guaranteed dollars, according to sources. The deal ties Little to Jacksonville through the 2027 season.”

A second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Little repped the Jaguars’ offensive line during the early years of his career, before completely locking down the left tackle spot following the Robinson trade. Little started 11 games in 2023, so he proved he could play, and with free agency approaching, Jacksonville opted to take no chances with him and extend him while they could.
Things haven’t been particularly good for Lawrence and the offense this season, but he can now take comfort in knowing that his blindside will be protected by Little for the foreseeable future. With this official agreement, Jacksonville can fully turn their attention to their next game against Houston, where they will look to pick up their third win of the season.
