After 13 matches, the Denver Broncos finally get a break with a bye in week 14. The Broncos leave with an 8-5 record, putting them on track to enter the NFL playoffs this fall.
Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix is ready for the break.
“It’s obviously going to be my first time, so I’m going to enjoy it,” Nix said. “I think it’s a good time. We have a lot of ball behind us, and that kind of prepares us for this. A good week off, a good week of [getting] a reset. Then we have four more matches. Four difficult matches to play in the home stretch.
“We’re going for a playoff spot. We’re going to extend the season. So it’s going to be good for us. I think the guys are going to enjoy it, but we’re also going to be, I think, excited to come back and finish this business of the good manners.
After the bye, the Broncos will host the Indianapolis Colts (6-7), who are also on a bye this week. A win against the Colts would give Denver a big boost for the playoffs. But first, it’s time to recharge your batteries.
