THE Washington Commanders beat the Tennessee Titans 42-19 on Sunday to enter their bye week with an 8-5 record. With the win, Washington remains the No. 7 seed in the NFC playoff picture.
The surprise Commanders started the season 7-2 before a three-game losing streak dropped them to 7-5. Washington led the NFC East for much of the season until the Eagles surpassed them in Week 10.
With Green Bay’s loss to the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football, Washington is just one game behind the Packers for the No. 6 seed. This could be a critical playoff position, as the No. 7 seed will likely head to Detroit or Philadelphia.
