The “Wizard of Boz” has been nothing short of magical in his 10th year during this fantastic 2024 season. The Pittsburgh Steelers have relied on the leg of Chris Boswell to achieve several important victories, with Boswell making 34 field goals ahead of the Week 14 game against the Cleveland Browns.
In the second half of the contest, Boswell tied an all-time record Pittsburgh Steelers record when he scored his second basket of the day. Boswell’s 54-yard field goal in Week 14 was his 36th this season, tying the most by a Steelers kicker in franchise history and a record he set in 2021.
With the second half of the Week 14 contest still to be played, as well as four more games remaining in the 2024 season, it’s safe to say Boswell will leave that record far behind.
This legendary Boswell season should not only be studied for years to come, but also deserve MVP consideration if and when the Steelers kicker breaks the NFL record of 44 field goals made in a single season.
