THE Pittsburgh Steelers welcomed the Cleveland Browns in a Week 14 AFC North rivalry game. As is often the case, the rivalry spilled into the stands and Carly Teller, wife of Browns guard Wyatt Teller – was caught up in the ugly side of the situation.
Teller posted on X (formerly Twitter) that she attended the December 8 match at Acrisure Stadium. She didn’t have a good experience and claimed the Steelers fans around her were “blatantly disrespectful” throughout the contest.
“The Pittsburgh fans today were blatantly disrespectful to me and the Browns girls,” Teller wrote. “I have never felt so attacked by people I literally did nothing to. Very sad/embarrassing behavior.”
Teller declined to provide details about what Steelers fans were doing during the contest in her post on X. However, in an Instagram Story, she further pointed out that Pittsburgh fans were yelling at her throughout the contest.
“When you’re just trying to have a drink and watch your husbands at work, but surrounded by Steelers fans yelling at them and you all the time,” Teller wrote.

Naturally, Wyatt Teller was asked about his wife’s comments during a press briefing on Monday.
Cleveland’s starting right guard said he doesn’t necessarily mind heckling, even despite his wife’s experience. This, of course, is provided that this mockery does not cross the line.
“As long as they don’t lay a hand on a woman, or expose themselves, or spit on my wife, then you can say whatever you want,” Teller told reporters. “You have to understand that when you’re in a hostile environment like that, what you’re going to get.”
It was unclear whether any of the examples of inappropriate behavior Teller cited were hypothetical or if there was one that posed a problem during his wife’s trip to Acrisure Stadium.
Teller also didn’t necessarily tolerate trash-talking fans. He emphasized that it is difficult to completely eliminate this element of the long-standing rivalry between Cleveland and Pittsburgh fans.
“This rivalry goes back way too long to say, ‘Oh, you’re just the woman!’ It doesn’t matter. I hate you, right? Teller explained, “And you know, I pray that our fans get a little better, but I know that. [the] Dawg Pound can get a little rowdy. So, I’m not naive about the fact that this rivalry goes back so far that you have to understand that it’s hostile there. »
SIMPSON NFL GAME: Will the alt-cast be a success? What to expect from the single version of MNF
The Browns and Steelers finished their season series on Sunday, so the hostility between the two teams will be on the back burner for a while. They won’t see each other again until 2025, when Cleveland attempts to end its 21-game regular season losing streak in Pittsburgh.
