To this day, the Carolina Panthers Jon Gruden still doesn’t feel well.

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach was featured on the last episode of Sports’ bar stool Professional Football Show. And Gruden, while making his picks for the Week 16 NFL action slate, took a brief, unpleasant trip down memory lane when talking about the Panthers. . .

Gruden led the Buccaneers from 2002 to 2008, a run that actually began with a Lombardi Trophy from Super Bowl XXXVII. But he didn’t have much success against John Fox and his Panthers during those seven years in the NFC South, as Gruden’s Bucs went 5-9 against Carolina.

He did, however, beat the Panthers twice as head coach of the Raiders, in Oakland and Las Vegas. The first victory, a 52-9 triumph, came in 2000, with the second coming two decades later in 2020.
