The Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots will meet at Highmark Stadium in Week 16 of the 2024 NFL season.
The Bills (11-3) are coming off a 48-42 victory over the Detroit Lions in a shootout last Sunday. The Patriots (3-11) lost to the Arizona Cardinals last week, 30-17.
Division games are different animals, even with a talent disparity between teams as is the case Sunday, and with playoff seeding still on the table for Buffalo, now is not the time to look at the -beyond anyone, even this Patriots team.

Crazy things happen every week in the NFL, but it’s pretty hard to imagine the Patriots going toe-to-toe with the Bills, let alone beating them. Their best chance would probably be if Orchard Park’s horrible weather rears its ugly head again and disrupts the mechanical precision of Buffalo’s offense, thereby reducing the overwhelming talent advantage the Bills enjoy.
For all the fans who continue to wax poetic about snow games, look at what the Bills just did playing in perfect conditions in Los Angeles and Detroit. When Josh Allen and the offensive players can use the full extent of their athleticism, they can devastate a defense. When the weather turns ugly – and even if it looks like there won’t be any snow, just freezing temperatures – it usually works against a superb offense like the Bills.
However, this will not be enough to help the Patriots who will have to operate under the same conditions and this could become a game where we see Mitch Trubisky handing over to Ray Davis in the middle of the fourth quarter while Allen takes a good … well-deserved rest under a parka on the sidelines.
