    Yes, you read that correctly. Professional football on a Wednesday. And at Christmas. You must have been good this year.

    Here’s a look at the history of the NFL at Christmas and how to watch the games today.

    NFL Christmas Day games: See who played the most

    Many NFL fans are familiar with the league’s long history. tradition of playing on Thanksgiving Day. Turns out the NFL has also played on Christmas Day more than 21 times.

    THE Cincinnati BengalsThe only Christmas Day game was a 29-21 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football in Week 16 of the 1989 season, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

    Several teams played multiple Christmas Day games, including three of the four teams playing today:

    The Bengals, Chargers, 49ers, Texans and Jets are the teams that have played once on Christmas.

    How did the Chiefs, Steelers, Ravens and Texans fare on Christmas?

    THE Chefs lost a double-overtime playoff game to the Dolphins in 1971, but has since gone undefeated through Christmas. THE Steelers won back-to-back Christmas games in 2016 and 2017.

    THE Crows won its first Christmas game in 2005 but lost to the Steelers in 2016, and the Texans are looking for their first Christmas win after a 2017 loss to the Steelers.

    • 2009: San Diego Chargers 42, Tennessee Titans 17
