New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers is unsure of his status for Sunday’s Week 17 game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Nabers injured his toe last week against Atlanta and did not practice Thursday. Nabers would tell the media that he “feels good” and considers himself a “match decision” from now on.
In a season for the Giants that has just two wins, as well as having the lowest scoring offense in football, Nabers has been a major bright spot for them.
Even missing two games this season, Nabers totaled 969 receiving yards while catching 65 percent of his targets with four touchdowns. He was a focal point of New York’s passing game, totaling 149 targets, the most of any receiver in football.
Wan’Dale Robinson is the Giants’ second-leading receiver with 115 targets, 585 yards and two touchdowns, with most of his playing time coming from the slot.
Drew Lock is expected to be at quarterback again this week for New York.
On the season, the Colts pass defense is allowing 6.9 yards per pass attempt, which ranks 25th, and includes a number of big plays given up through the air. The pass rush, however, can help their secondary by tackling a Giants offensive line that has allowed the second-highest pressure rate in 2024.
