Oregon State Beavers NFL: Week 16 Recap
On the 53-player roster
W.R. Anthony Gould -Indianapolis Colts
-> In Indy’s 38-30 win over Tennessee, Gould was featured primarily on special teams… He saw nine total snaps and returned three kickoffs for 97 yards and two punts for 18 yards. Gould started to make more of an impact with the Colts to close out the regular season…
YOU Luc Musgrave -Green Bay Packers
-> Musgrave was activated off IR before the Packers’ 34-0 win over the New Orleans Saints. He didn’t get his only target from Jordan Love in his eight snaps, but he’ll certainly look to step up as the Packers look to make a playoff push…
S Kitan Oladapo -Green Bay Packers
-> In Green Bay’s 34-0 win over the Saints, Oladapo saw extended action at free safety, playing 15 snaps. He also played five snaps on special teams and finished with one tackle.
OL Issac Seumalo – Pittsburgh Steelers
-> Seumalo made his 11th straight start at left guard for the Steelers in their 34-17 loss to Baltimore and played 63 snaps.
OL Taliese Fuaga – New Orleans Saints
-> Fuaga started at left tackle for the Saints (15th of the year) and played 55 snaps in the 34-0 loss to the Packers.

S Jordan Poyer -Miami Dolphins
-> In Miami’s 29-17 win over San Francisco, Poyer started at safety and played 64 snaps. He finished with seven tackles (second in defense)…
OL Blake Brandel – Minnesota Vikings
-> Brandel started at left guard (15th of the year) in the Vikings’ 27-24 win over Seattle and played 66 snaps.
ILB Omar Speights -Los Angeles Rams
-> In Los Angeles’ 19-9 win over New York, Speights made his seventh straight season start at inside linebacker and played 38 snaps. He finished with five tackles and a pass deflection and remains one of the real strengths of the young Rams defense.
Database Alex Austin – New England Patriots
-> In New England’s 24-21 loss to Buffalo, Austin made his first start of the season at cornerback, playing 43 snaps. He finished with two tackles and a broken pass…
P. Johnny Hekker -Carolina Panthers
-> In Carolina’s 36-30 win over Arizona, Hekker threw five times for 223 yards. He averaged 44.6 yards per punt, caught one in the 20s and had a long punt of 57 yards on the afternoon…
On the training team
RB Deshaun Fenwick
-> Recently signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad, former Oregon State running back Beaver will look to return to the show. He’s probably a depth piece at the moment, but he could see action if injuries pile up… He reunites with Musgrave and Oladapo in Green Bay…
W.R. Isaiah Hodgins – New York Giants
-> After having a brief stint on the active roster and getting his first stats of the season, Hodgins remains on the Giants’ practice squad…
Database Ryan Cooper Jr. -Seattle Seahawks
-> After being released from Baltimore’s practice squad, Cooper was recently picked up by the Seattle Seahawks and is on their practice squad.
RB Jermar Jefferson -Detroit Lions
-> After suffering numerous injuries early in his professional career, Jefferson is healthy to start the year with the Lions and is currently the practice squad third-string RB. He didn’t make the initial 53-man roster, but the Lions kept him and have done so since he was a seventh-round pick several years ago, so they’re still invested in the young fullback.
Database Nahshon Wright – Minnesota Vikings
-> After struggling to break into the Cowboys DB rotation in recent years, Wright was traded to the Minnesota Vikings, where he currently resides as the practice squad’s top cornerback. We’ll see if the Vikings perhaps like Wright’s third-round grade better than the Cowboys…
QB Jake Luton – Las Vegas Raiders
-> With Gardner Minshew out for the season and Aidan O’Connell on the shelf, the Las Vegas Raiders are down to just Desmond Ridder and Carter Bradley at quarterback and have opted to draft the former NFL signal-caller. Oregon on their practice squad… The Raiders will be Luton’s sixth different team, as he was recently signed to the Panthers’ practice squad ahead of the 2024 campaign. He has thrown for 473 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions in his only playing time in 2020 in three games with the Jaguars…
DB Steven Nelson – Kansas City Chiefs
-> Recalled from retirement by the team that drafted him, Nelson is officially back in the series after injuries to the Chiefs’ defensive backfield forced them to look for additional depth. While Nelson has been out of the league for a few months, it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s basically been waiting for an opportunity like this to launch a twilight chase, and he should be able to get going in KC. .
Injured Reserve/OUT
Database Rejzohn Wright – New Orleans Saints
-> The Saints placed Wright on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury. It is not yet known whether he will play this season.
D.L. Kyle Peko -Detroit Lions
-> Peko suffered what is expected to be a season-ending pectoral injury in the Lions’ win over Dallas…
YOU Teagan Quitoriano -Houston Texans
-> Quitoriano recently played on IR due to a knee injury – it is unclear how long he will be out
