Broncos quarterback Bo Nix finished his regular season with another distinction.
The rookie was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Week 18 in Denver’s 38-0 playoff victory over a largely starter-less Kansas City team on Sunday.
Nix threw for a career-high 321 yards and four touchdowns while completing 26 of 29 total pass attempts. His passer rating of 152.4 for the game was also the best of his career and capped a stretch in which Nix threw nine touchdowns and just one interception in Denver’s final three regular-season games.
This is the second time this season that Nix has won the AFC weekly award. Nix also earned the honor in Week 11 after throwing for 304 yards and four touchdowns against Atlanta.
Nix is the first Bronco to win this award multiple times in a season since Peyton Manning in 2013 and only the fifth player in franchise history to do so. The only other rookie to win the award multiple times was running back Mike Anderson.
