THE Tennessee Titans conducted an interview with Cleveland Browns Assistant General Manager Catherine Hickman for their vacant general manager post, the team announced on Saturday.
Originally from Quebec, Hickman’s journey to the NFL began in the CFL and moved through the highest ranked in the NFL.
Hickman rose through the ranks of assistant general manager and director of football administration during her time with the Montreal Alouettes and Toronto Argonauts. She traveled to the United States for a front office position with the XFL’s Tampa Bay Vipers before entering the NFL with the Eagles as operations coordinator and then vice president of operations.

She interviewed for the vacant 2022 Minnesota Vikings general manager position, but was not selected. Later that year, she moved from Philadelphia to Cleveland, landing one of the Browns’ assistant general manager jobs, while continuing to work on the operations side.
The Browns experienced varying success throughout Hickman’s tenure. In 2023, Cleveland has fielded one of the best defenses in the NFL en route to a playoff berth. In 2024, the Browns found no consistency and finished with the same record as the downtrodden Titans.
Hickman overlapped with Titans defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson when the two worked together in Philadelphia and overlapped with offensive line coach Bill Callahan during their tenure in Cleveland.
The Titans fired general manager Ran Carthon on Jan. 7 after two years. Carthon guided the Titans to a 9-25 record over two seasons, including a 3-14 campaign in 2024 that earned the franchise the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Brinker leads the search for Carthon’s replacement. By firing Carthon, the Titans gave final say on personnel decisions to Brinker, who will retain that power even after hiring Carthon’s replacement.
Hickman is the seventh candidate the Titans have officially interviewed for the position. The Titans also announced they have interviewed a senior member of the Dolphins staff.
