The Tennessee Titans have completed an interview with Green Bay Packers vice president of player personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan for their vacant general manager position, the team announced Monday.

Sullivan spent more than two decades in Green Bay’s front office, working alongside Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker for about half of that time. He took over as the team’s vice president of player personnel in 2022, having worked his way up the scouting ranks before earning that title.

The son of longtime NFL wide receivers coach Jerry Sullivan, the younger Sullivan has worked in or alongside Green Bay’s front office since 2004. He rose to the role of director of college scouting in 2016 and, during his first two years, supervised the successful projects. major contributors like Blake Martinez, Kenny Clark and Aaron Jones. He rose to the role of co-director of player personnel in 2018 and was promoted to vice president of that department in 2022.

Sullivan’s obvious connection to Brinker and shared background make him one of the most unique candidates the Titans have considered. Brinker worked 13 years in the Packers front office, primarily on the operations side, helping with contracts, free agency strategy and salary cap administration. But central to both of their experiences is Green Bay’s strategy, which Brinker touted as a proven path to success in the modern NFL.

The Titans and Packers collaborated on a trade late in training camp in 2024, with Green Bay trading a seventh-round pick for Titans backup quarterback Malik Willis.

The Titans fired general manager Ran Carthon on Jan. 7 after two years. Carthon guided the Titans to a 9-25 record over two seasons, including a 3-14 campaign in 2024 that earned the franchise the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Brinker leads the search for Carthon’s replacement. By firing Carthon, the Titans gave final say on personnel decisions to Brinker, who will retain that power even after hiring Carthon’s replacement.

Sullivan is the 10th candidate the Titans have officially interviewed for the position. The Titans also announced that they have interviewed Dolphins personnel director Reggie McKenzie, former Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff, Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant general manager John Spytek, and Tampa Bay Colts assistant general manager Ed Dodds. Indianapolis, Seahawks Director of Player Personnel Matt Berry and Buffalo Director of Player Personnel Matt Berry. Terrance Gray, Browns assistant general manager Catherine Hickman, Bears assistant general manager Ian Cunningham and Chiefs assistant general manager Mike Borgonzi.
