Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany have a new recruit on their team.
The couple welcomed their third child, daughter Golden Raye, on Sunday. The Associated Press reported.
Golden now joins her big sister Sterling, 3, and brother Patrick – named after her father and grandfather – also known as “Bronze”, 2. E! News reported.
Brittany Mahomes said they came up with the names of precious metals starting with her dog Steel that she had in college. The second dog was going to be named Sterling but decided it would be better for her future daughter, so she settled on Silver. Puppies started the trend.
“I always wanted to have kids young,” Mahomes said last year. “I have to grow up in the locker room. I mean, I’ve talked about it before and it’s had such an impact on my life. And so I wanted to have children young, and now we have our third child to join the family.
His father, Patrick Mahomes Sr. was a MLB pitcher for 11 years.
The MVP quarterback and the ‘Sports Illustrated’ model tied the knot in 2022 after being high school sweethearts, E! News reported.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are aiming for their third straight Super Bowl victory. They play Saturday against the Houston Texans for the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, CNN reported.
