Buffalo Bills fans showed up for Mark Andrews following his brutal fall Sunday in the AFC playoffs.
From Tuesday evening, a GoFundMe page dedicated to support The Baltimore Ravens’ charity of choice for juvenile diabetes has raised more than $41,000. This total far exceeds the initial goal of $5,000.
Thanks to Bills Mafia for showing support for our guy Mark Andrews and donating to the @BreakthroughT1D organization, which works to cure and improve the lives of people with type 1 diabetes. πhttps://t.co/tQfjchcmOx

Money from the campaign will be donated to Breakthrough TD1, a juvenile diabetes research and advocacy organization. Andrews, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a child, has long supported the charity, formerly known as JDRF. He has worked as a youth ambassador for Breakthrough TD1 in the past.
The Ravens scored a late touchdown in their AFC Divisional Round game against the Bills on Sunday night and went for a 2-point conversion that could tie the game with just 93 seconds left. Lamar Jackson found Andrews wide open at the goal line, but Andrews lost control of the ball after it hit him in his hands.
He dropped the pass and the Ravens ended up losing the game. The win propelled the Bills into the AFC Championship Game, where they will face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
This was one of the worst matches of Andrews’ career. The three-time Pro Bowler and one of the best Ravens players of his generation also dropped a ball late in the first half and missed what would have been a first down in Bills territory β which Buffalo then converted into a basket. The drops were his first since Week 6 of the regular season, and extremely rare for the often reliable tight end.
Andrews did not speak to reporters after the game and he also skipped Monday’s locker room media session.
βThere is no one who has more heart, who cares more and who fights more than Mark,β Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said. “We wouldn’t be here without Mark. That’s what you tell him.
“It’s like anything else. Destiny is a decision you make. The decision depends on how you handle what happens in your life. Mark will handle it fantastically like he always does because it’s a person of high character. He’s a tough person. He’s a good person. I’m proud of him, just like I’m proud of all the guys.
While the mistake is surely still eating away at Andrews, and will be for a while, Bills Mafia is at least trying to make a small positive out of it for him.
