Shedeur Sanders makes an appearance at the East-West Shrine Bowl this weekend, but the quarterback will not play. Sanders was spotted on the sideline at Saturday’s practice and reportedly was not scheduled to participate in next week’s game, per ESPN.
Instead, he will be networking. Sanders, who is projected as a top-two pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, met with several teams on Friday, according to multiple reports. This group included the teams with the top three picks in the draft: the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Giants and New York.
Sanders was spotted Speaking with New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll during practice on Saturday. The former Colorado QB had previously shown some interest in the Giants, back when the team was in line to have the No. 1 overall pick.
Sanders also made a good impression on Titans coach Brian Callahan, who praised the 22-year-old quarterback after his introduction Friday.
“You can tell he was raised well,” Callahan said, via the Titans. “He’s mature, he’s got a really ready way about him, and he seems like a really good kid. I enjoyed talking to him. And, you could tell he’s a guy who’s been in the spotlight. He knows how to manage himself, He was paid money, so he has a financial perspective.
Callahan also praised Miami quarterback Cam Ward, who is currently projected as Yahoo Sports’ No. 1 overall pick, calling him “incredibly talented.”
