Pittsburgh – By thinking about the decisions they made, one of the best additions of the Pittsburgh Steelers during the last off -season was the Donte Jackson corner half.
Jackson was acquired from the Carolina Panthers alongside a sixth round choice that was used to select the defensive platform of the Iowa Logan Lee in an exchange that sent the Large Diontae Johnson receiver in the other direction.
During his only year with the Steelers, Jackson made five interceptions and 38 plated in total as well as an escape recovered at the start of 15 games.
On Christian Kuntz’s podcastThe corner spoke with his teammate of his year in black and gold and expressed his desire to return to the organization.
“I hope I’m back,” said Jackson. “Another free agency to come. I am just grateful to be there, to be able to sign a third contract. Because, guy, guys do not arrive at two. It is a blessing, just to be able to Preparing to sign three, it’s great. , isn’t it here. ‘”
He then talked about his experience outside the field and how the fans impressed him.
“Since the moment we got here, all the love I and my family have received, it’s just crazy,” said Jackson. “We really appreciate this organization. We really appreciate fans. We appreciated this year. It was one of the most memorable years of my family.”
It remains to be seen if the Steelers are ready to pay what the market will dictate for Jackson, and if the market will consider it favorably or will allow the Steelers to obtain a good deal on its contract.
