All the signs seem to point to the Vikings of Minnesota in the 2025 season with JJ McCarthy as a new quarter-Arrière leaving. But whether it ends up being what is happening or not, a high priority for Vikings in the coming months will always be to improve the interior of their offensive line.
Depending on the way things shake in free agency this year, Minnesota may decide to use one of its first selections in the NFL draft in 2025 in April on a prospect of guard or center.
If the film in the post below is an indication, the former interior offensive line of North Dakota, Gray Zabel, should be near the list of possibilities that Vikings can write later this year.

Gray Zabel proving at 2025 Senior Bowl, he could considerably improve the interior offensive line of the Vikings of Minnesota
During training of the Bowl Senior 2025 in Mobile, Alabama, Zabel generated a ton of buzz with his performance. Measuring at 6 feet 5 inches and 316 pounds, Zabel “was the most coherent line player in one or the other team during the first two days” of the practices of Senior Bol, according to Matt Miller d’Espn Wednesday.
Miller also explained how he had a second -round note on the former blocker of the Northern Dakota State before the senior Bowl of this year, but he plays so that some scouts now believe that he could potentially get out of Table in the first round of 2025 draft.
Last season, Zabel started 16 games in the left tackle for northern Dakota State, and according to PFF data, he only granted one bag and seven pressures in 453 passenger blocking snaps while generating a impressive PFF racing blocking grade of 86.5.
Despite the disappearance of the left tackle and the right tackle during his university career, Zabel would be better suited as a guard or center at the NFL level. He has some experience as an interior blocker because he started several games on the left during his mandate in the state of Dakota in the North.
If Minnesota fails to sign a notable free agent goalkeeper or at the center of this offseason, do not be surprised if they do everything they can to land someone like Zabel in this year’s draft.
The Vikings hope that McCarthy will be able to emerge as the next great quarter of the franchise in the near future, and if that will happen, adding guys like Zabel to the team’s list must be a priority during the offseason.
