The 10th appearance of Russell Wilson Pro Bowl may also be his last, but the veteran quarterrier is not yet ready to move away from football. While entering the World Stadium campsite for the event, he made sure to have his stepson, Future Jr., by his side – a reminder of The moments he cherishes as his career ends.

At 36, Wilson faces an uncertain future in the NFL. After a season with the Pittsburgh steelers, he should hit a free agency, but he hopes to return to the team. “I can’t wait to go back to the Steelers and we will see what’s going on with the others,” Wilson told the Associated Press. “I love it to Pittsburgh.”

Steelers can however have other plans. The president of the Art Rooney II team expressed interest in keeping Wilson or Justin Fields on a multi -year agreement, but not both. “I think they both consider themselves to be starters, and I don’t know they want to share the same job next year,” said Rooney, according to Brooke Pryor of Espn. “So, I would most likely say that we probably don’t end up bringing them both.”

Wilson took over as a starter from the Steelers for the last 11 games of the 2024 season after his return from a calf injury. He finished the year with 63.7% of his passes for 2,482 yards, with 16 affected and five interceptions. Although he has shown lightning of his old self, Fields – who is 26 years old in March – could be considered the long -term option of the Steelers.

The age factor is something that Rooney recognized when he was examining the team’s decision. “Age could be a factor,” he admitted, although he did not specify what a quarter of Arrière has the advantage in the negotiations.

Speculation has linked Wilson to a possible meeting with Pete Carroll, his former head coach in Seattle, who recently resumed Las Vegas raiders. Asked about rumors, Wilson diverted. “Pete is going to be an excellent coach, of course,” said Wilson. “He’s great in what he does. But I focus on the Steelers.

Despite uncertainty, Wilson remains confident in his ability to play at a high level. “I had the chance to play more than 13 years, and I have much more ball,” he said. “Staying healthy is always the thing. You have to be healthy to play your best, and I feel good right now. With an impressive summary which includes a title of the Super Bowl, 130 career victories (by following only Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger and Brett Favre at 13 seasons), and now 10 selections Pro Bowl, Wilson knows that his heritage is already secure.

“It’s a blessing,” said Wilson. “I remember being my year recruited here and being with guys like Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton and Eli Manning. And I remember how grateful I was. Ten pro-bols later, it is always a blessing. Now the question remains: will his next chapter be in Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, or elsewhere entirely?
