In a press release following the death of McCaskey, the NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, said, in part: “… Faith, family and football – in this order – were his stars in the North.”
“The bears that her father started meant the world for her and he would be proud of the way she continued the family business with such dedication and such passion,” he said. “Our thoughts and prayers go to McCaskey and Halas families and wears fans around the world.”
McCaskey will remain in the memories at visit services From 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Oehler funeral home at 2099 Miner Street in plains. A funeral mass for the family and friends will be held the next day before a private star, according to the family.
