New Orleans (Gray News)-photos of the 14 people killed during the terrorist attack of New Years Day on New Year’s Day were held by the first speakers during a tribute before the kick-off of the Super bowl.
The local EMs, the firefighters, the police and other applications of the law which responded to the terrorist attack which occurred on the famous rue Bourbon in New Orleans held the photos on the field of Caesars Superdome During an honorary ceremony before the Super Bowl Lix.
“We mourn 14 lives that were taken too early,” said Cam Jordan, a defensive of the Saints of New Orleans, during the introduction.
The families of the victims were honorary captains for Sunday’s match between reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
Among the families were the parents of Matthew Tenedio. The family says that the 25 -year -old was working on his dream work as part of the Gameday of Saints production team. He would have worked during this year’s super bowl.
The tribute on the field intervened after another tribute took place for the victims of the attack on rue Bourbon before the match.
Fox NFL hosts on Sunday presented a musical tribute to Lady Gaga pop icon and spoke about the city’s resilience.
The owner of the Pélicans des Saints and New Orleans, Gayle Benson, the former coach of the Saint Payton saints, as well as others, including more first stakeholders, joined the hosts on the street to honor the victims.
The Eagles beat the chiefs to win the Super Bowl, 40-22.
