Tennessee titans are a few weeks before the official start of the free agency, but they are not already short of one of the best free agents on the market.
According to the Bengals of Cincinnati on the journalist of Si James Rapien, the Bengals predict to use the franchise label on the wide Tee Higgins receiver, keeping it with Cincinnati.
“Sources say that the Higgins camp plans to be labeled at this stage. He would be the best free agent if he had to go to the free agency,” wrote Rapien.
“This should not happen. Bengals will label Higgins by the deadline of March 4.”
Titans were linked to Higgins for several reasons. Titans need a receiver, and Higgins is one, if not the best, on the market this year. In addition to that, he played under the head coach of the Titans, Brian Callahan, when he was the attacking coordinator of Bengals of 2020-233. And if that was not enough, the signature with the Titans would mean a return to Higgins, from Oak Ridge, a suburb of Knoxville.
This does not mean that Higgins will never play for titans, but a franchise label eliminates this possibility for the 2025 season.
