Arizona cardinals are starting to see some of their star contributors on the map by pro football focus and other national media, but their defensive anchor was left out.
Each year, Pro Football Focus establishes a long list of the 101 best NFL players, based on the action value and production of the previous season.
Cardinals find themselves in a place where they have not been often in recent years, with several stars recognized by PFF and listed among some of the best in the NFL in the Top 101.
Until now, the cardinals have seen the ball carrier James Conner in # 81 for another excellent season. After Conner was the half -starred corner Rising Garrett Williams, ranking 73rd.
Then came the evidence: the tight star Trey McBride solidified as a top 5 player, arriving at No. 42 and sitting behind Brock Bowers and George Kittle for a tight Bout the best row.
But a pillar of cardinals was left out: Budda Budda Star Safety.
Baker, following what was a year down in 2023, presented one of his best career seasons in 2024. He received a note of 77.8 pff, while arriving in second place overall NFL in total plated with 164.
He only dragged Zaire Franklin, the intermediary intermediary of the colts.
Names like Jessie Bates III, Derwin James, Xavier McKinney and Brian Branch (among others) were all presented on the list. Although it is understandable not necessarily to classify Baker above all these excellent security, it seems that Baker should have had a case to present.
Baker was solid in race defense and saw an improvement in the coverage last season, with a 74.7 cover note.
Baker flew everywhere on the field, played the 17 games this season and once again was the driving force of the Arizona defense – a unit that surprised a lot with the game of his young defensive backs. He obtained his sixth consecutive appearance in Pro Bowl.
In fact, the heroism of 2024 awarded Baker a $ 54 million contract over three years of GM Monti Ossenfort, an agreement that should keep the veteran in Arizona throughout his 31 years.
Thus, if it is fair to consider some of these other names along the baker, it seems that a clearly crucial coherent season, and perhaps especially – high energy security could have been neglected.
Or maybe it’s just more bulletin equipment for him.
