This offseason, the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay promoted Josh Grizzard to the attacking coordinator, a decision which reflects the confidence of the team in its capacity as a coach and his innovative state of mind.
Grizzard, who previously was the coordinator of the passenger game, obtained the opportunity with the Buccaneers after having impressed the players and the staff throughout the 2024 season. During his press conference NFL Combine, the Director General of Buccaneers, Jason Licht, expressed that Tampa Bay was looking for a new offensive voice and thinks that Grizzard is the right person for work.

“We wanted to hire someone from Lizard Lick, in North Carolina, and he corresponded to the bill. No, I’m kidding, ”said Licht. “Josh has done a fantastic job all year round. Everyone in the building has seen how smart he is – he follows the same things I just said about Liam. It is easy to get along with players [and] In front of the play, he was fantastic. »»
Beyond his football IQ, the players gave Grizzard a nickname that talks about its reputation in the locker room.
“They call it” The Wizard “- many players have mentioned it,” said Licht. “I am just very excited to see Josh in this role. I know it is excited to start. He will bring new ideas, which is always good. »»
With Grizzard at the head of the offensive, the Buccaneers are impatiently awaiting a creative and dynamic approach in 2025. His ability to connect with players and implement new concepts could be a key factor in the success of Tampa Bay Next season.
