The head coach of Washington commanders, Dan Quinn, has built a culture that makes people want to stay. The managing director Adam Peters congratulated the leadership of Quinn, stressing how many coaches had other job offers, but chose to stay with the team because of the environment that Quinn created.
“Well, that’s exactly that. I think you hit him. It is the culture that he built that people want to be here and that coaches want to be here, and coaches who have other opportunities will refuse them to stay here,” said the Director General. “And that’s all DQ and what he built and this culture and the environment. I think it’s really, really fun to be a coach here. I’m not a coach, but I’m around them all the time and they love it.”
Peters underlined how Quinn made Washington a desirable place for coaches. Even if staff turnover are common in the NFL, Quinn has built a positive and favorable atmosphere that maintains the coaches engaged. His strong reputation attracted many coaches last season, and their choice to remain the impact of his leadership.
“And not only that, but we have a large group of coaches,” added Peters. “I would put these staff of first -year coaches against any staff of first -year coaches and what we met. And that comes back to last year when there were so many people who wanted to train with him just knowing it, not knowing him very well and then wanting to stay this year. It is about who he is.”
Keep the same coach staff helps the team develop and improve. With coherent leadership, players can develop better and the team can work towards a common goal. Stability among coaches makes it easier to stick to a match plan and build a solid team chemistry.
Peters thinks that coaches and the management of Quinn are the key to the success of the team. In a league where coaches often move, Washington’s ability to keep its staff together shows that it is an ideal place to work.
In the end, Quinn’s leadership not only helped players, but also made Washington a leading choice for coaches, proving how strong the culture he built is.
