THE Chiefs of Kansas City Use their franchise label on the offensive line of the free agent Trey Smith. This decision has a name not only a name that the Bears were likely to target on the free market, but a player who was considered among the best five players available in the free agency.
Friday, the chiefs indeed announced their intentions of franchise beacons with Smith, but that could leave the door open for a light of optimism for the fans of the Bears. Kansas City uses the non -exclusive franchise label on Smith, which means that the negotiation window with other teams is a possibility.
Although the chiefs have the possibility of corresponding to any potential agreement of the opposing teams, the large part of the non -exclusive label is that Kansas City would receive two first -round choices if they decided not to match an offer and to leave Smith playing elsewhere.
It is very unlikely that many teams would conclude an agreement with Smith due to the expensive price of two first round choices that they should abandon to sign it. Chicago has four choices in the first 75 selections, but the sending of the 10th choice in total in the draft of the NFL 2025 would be the decision to take Smith. There should be a long list of offensive line players available in a free agency, so although there is a chance that the Bears will always continue, it is very unlikely.
