After Zay Flowers and Rashhod Bateman both appreciated the career seasons in 2024, some may wonder why Baltimore Ravens would be on the market for a wide receiver during the offseason. The answer is simple: additional depth.
Nelson Agholor and Tylan Wallace, n ° 3 and n ° 4 of Baltimore, are both ready to strike a free agency in just over a week. Even if none of them has put crazy figures this season, they are decent players in the offensive and we will miss if they go elsewhere.
That said, there are solid receivers available in free agency. Gary Davenport de Bleacher Report Think that Chicago carries Keenan Allen, a Bowler Pro six times during his 12 -year career, could be a good choice in Baltimore.
“Ravens could have a great need for offensive tackle if Ronnie Stanley leaves; but if Baltimore keeps the 30 -year -old man, the team will have to go with less expensive options to meet other needs,” wrote Davenport. “Lamar Jackson was great as a passer last year, but he could benefit from an improvement in the passages behind Zay Flowers.
“Allen will be 33 years old at the start of the season and had modest figures last year in Chicago, but he exceeded 100 catches and 1,200 yards with Los Angeles loaders as recently as in 2023.”
Allen had 70 receptions for 744 yards and seven affected in his first season as a few, not bad but well below his standard. Even at this stage of his career, he can always be very effective.
Allen’s signature would not only give much more depth to this position, but also a large body receiver that was missing. Flowers is from the smallest and Bateman is around the average size of a receiver, but Allen is 6-2 and 211 pounds. It can easily be an excellent threat to the red zone for Lamar Jackson and CO.
Will the ravens really make a movement for Allen? We will just have to wait and discover.
