While the Baltimore Ravens seem confident that they can re-sign the left tackle of star Ronnie Stanley, the rest of the NFL will not facilitate its work.

As if the challenge of trying to sign Stanley worth $ 20 million + per year when it has about half of it in the ceiling space, another heavyweight from the AFC has now entered the ring.

According to Nate Taylor of athleticsKansas City chiefs should target Stanley if it arrives on the free market. It comes just after the chiefs exchanged the All-Pro Joe Thuney line at the Chicago Bears on Wednesday morning.

“When the free agency starts, the chiefs are targeting Ronnie Stanley, the nine -year -old veteran who is the best left tackle available on the market, according to the source,” wrote Taylor. “Stanley, who will be 31 years old this month, started the 17 games of the season last season for the Ravens of Baltimore. He obtained an overall note of 70.7 pro football focus and only granted three bags.

“The experience and value of Stanley, both in the race and passing game when they are healthy, are the reason why the chiefs think that it can be a major upgrade to the post and also a reliable starter for several years. After all, the chiefs have started a different left tackle in each of their five appearances of the Super Bowl in the last six years.”

Chefs are currently about $ 3 million above the salary ceiling, By on the cap. That said, they will certainly make movements to release more space. After all, it is very unlikely that they enter the season with Patrick Mahomes with a ceiling of more than $ 66 million.

Kansas City was appointed a potential pretender for Stanley earlier in the offseason, but it is easily the most concrete link between the two parties.

If Baltimore wants to remove a chance that Stanley signed with his AFC rival, he must re-sign it before being able to speak to other teams on Monday.

Will the Ravens do the work? Who knows at this point, but the next few days will certainly be interesting to watch.

Make sure you can sign Baltimore Ravens on if for the latest news, exclusive interviews, films of movies and much more!
