Johnson, 6-4, 231, played 67 games with 34 departures since he joined New Orleans in 2020 as a free agent not drafted outside Oregon. In five seasons, Johnson recorded 146 receptions for 1,622 yards (11.1 AVG) and 18 affected. Since 2022, Johnson’s 14 Touché catches have been tied for seventh in the NFL among the tight ends.
In 2024, the native of Glassboro, in New Jersey, played in the 17 competitions with five starts, displaying careers in career in receptions (50), receiving yards (548) and added three affected. Johnson’s 548 reception yards in 2024 were also a top of the team.
A Wideut College which converted into tight terms in 2021, Johnson joined the saints after a season of transfer of graduates for the Ducks in 2019, where he recorded 30 receptions for 467 yards and six affected. Before his arrival in Eugene, Johnson played three seasons at Penn State (2016-18), where he appreciated his most productive collegial season in 2017, ranking seventh in the Big Ten in receptions (54) and the reception yards (701).
