The Tampa Bay Buccaneers bring back their second round choice in 2021 in the free agency.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL reported on Wednesday that the Buccaneers should bring back the quarter-rear Kyle Trask on a one-year contract worth 2.787 million dollars. Trask will continue to save the quarter-Arrière Baker Mayfield during the 2025 season.

The BUCs drafted trask potentially with the intention of making him succeed him in the quarter-Arrière Tom Brady, and he had the chance to win the position in 2023 when he participated in a quarter competition with Baker Mayfield. He lost this competition, and since then, he has not obtained too much playing time – he only played a handful of snaps and only tried four passes in 11 attempts during the three years he played.
There was an assumption that the buccaneers could go from Kyle Trask, but it seems that it is ready to return to the BUCs for at least a year more. The backup QB are always important because they attend the quarter meetings and learn the offensive, and therefore, Trask could be useful while playing in Josh Grizzard’s offensive this year – moreover, if Baker Mayfield is going down, Trask knows the system well.
Trask will play his fourth year in the NFL with the Bucs, and after the season, the team will have a decision to make again.
