The lions add a veteran to the quarter room. Detroit accepted an agreement with Kyle Allen, by NFL network.
Allen spent last season as QB3 for the Steelers behind Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. His last departure arrived in 2022 with the Texans. Its most in -depth action occurred in 2019 when it started 12 games for the Panthers.
The Lions probably still consider Hendon Hooker as QB2, but Allen offers another veteran presence behind Jared Goff, similar to When Teddy Bridgewater joined the team before the playoffs last season. Detroit also always has Jake Fromm, who spent last year in the training team.
Hooker, a choice of third round in 2023, spent its recruit season to rehabilitate a torn LCA. He obtained a cleaning action in three games last year, finishing six of the nine passes for 62 yards.
Allen launched 26 affects at 21 interceptions while finishing 62.7% of his passes in 31 career games with Carolina, Washington, Houston, Buffalo and Pittsburgh.
