After a single season with the Pittsburgh steelers, the Vétéran quarterrière Kyle Allen heads for Detroit.
Confirmed sources at Mike Garafolo from NFL Network that Allen accepted the terms of the Strait Lions. This marks the sixth team of Allen during their seven -year career.
Before joining the Steelers, Allen had relays with the Washington football team, the Texans of Houston, the Buffalo Bills and the Carolina Panthers, the team with which he initially signed as a free non -drained agent of the University of Houston in 2018.
Once the agreement has become official, Allen will join a Lions quarter -Arrière room which includes the starter Jared Goff, Hendon Hooker and Jake Fromm – who signed a reserve / future contract in January.
Allen, who was 29 years old last Saturday, appeared in a match for the Steelers last season, ending a pass for 19 yards.
Its most important action in the NFL occurred in 2019 – its second year in the League – while playing under the head coach of the time, Ron Rivera. Rivera was dismissed after a departure of 5-7, Perry Wingell taking over as an acting trainer.
Allen started 12 of the 13 games this season, displaying a 5-7 file. He launched for 3,322 yards, 17 affected and 16 interceptions while filling 62% of his passes with a scaper note of 80.0.
Although it is not clear where Allen will hold among the backups of Goff, he becomes the last addition to the quarter of Detroit group after the departure of Teddy Bridgewater, who apparently transformed high school football after spending last season with the Lions.
Allen’s signature also raises questions about Hooker’s future in Detroit. The Lions have selected Hooker in the third round of the NFL 2023 draft – a relatively high choice for a quarter -tree that has not yet taken significant snaps as a backup.
