The Carolina Panthers have done a lot of notable movements in the NFL free agency, strengthening their list for an NFC South race next season.
However, there is still a critical area that the Panthers have not addressed: the wide receiver.
Carolina certainly needs to add other weapons for the quarter-Arrière Bryce Young, because the trio of Adam Thielen, Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette certainly leaves something to be desired.
Yes, Coker has shown a considerable promise during her recruit campaign, and Legette has talent, but apart from Thielen (who will be 35 years old in August), the panthers are not really reliable in 2025.
Now, to be honest, there are really not many options in free agency, and the biggest names like Stefon Diggs, Amari Cooper and Cooper Kupp probably do not signal with Carolina.
But there is a particular player that the Panthers should absolutely try to sign: Elijah Moore.
Moore has actually been a disappointment since he entered the NFL in 2021, with his best season with the Cleveland Browns in 2023 when he caught 59 catches for 640 yards and a few affected.
However, during his first four years in the pros, Moore was the victim of certain horrible quarter-back situations with the New York jets and the Browns, so it is not yet fair to judge his production negatively.
The 25-year-old has a flamboyant speed and could represent a dangerous vertical threat in the right system, and although Young may not have a cannon like Patrick Mahomes, he has enough arm strength to find Moore on deep routes.
At this point, Moore would probably not cost much. Carolina may be able to add an agreement over a year, so the panthers should easily be able to integrate it into their available cap room.
Yes, Carolina may aim to add a wide range in the draft of NFL next month, but taking a leaflet on Moore could certainly not hurt.
