Pittsburgh – The old offensive platform of Pittsburgh steelers, Kelvin Beachum, signed an extension with the Arizona Cardinals.
Beachum played 179 games during his career, from 161. 44 games and 39 of these departures were with the Steelers.
After playing SMU at the University, Beachum was drafted by the Steelers with their choice of seventh round in 2012.
Beachum would spend its next four seasons with the team before entering the free agency after the 2015 season.
In 2016, Beachum signed with Jacksonville Jaguars, spending a season with the team. He would sign with the New York Jets in 2017, spending three seasons there.
In 2020, the cardinals signed Beachum as a free agent and signed it since during the short -term agreements.
The signature of Beachum has an impact on the Steelers due to a clearly necessary need for depth on the offensive line. Beachum would have offered a veteran presence which is now lacking on its young offensive line, which could cause discipline problems on the road.
That said, the concerns of Beachum’s size have tormented it since its professional collegial day, and its age of 35 is a concern for any NFL player. Beachum’s signature will probably offer the stability of the Cardinals offensive line mainly.
