Defensive winger Jayn Holmes joined Washington commanders in season last year and appeared only on 163 defensive snaps after that, but he did enough to justify bringing him back in 2025.
During the weekend, among the many re-signs executed by commanders so far, Holmes and the team have accepted new contract conditions, according to their Blake Baratz agent.
Due to the New Deal, Holmes will have a shot to impress his coaches and his teammates from Washington with the benefit of a complete off -season and a training camp to help him.
“Congratulations to these two guys. Bringing juice to a line D near you. You boys, Steelers and Commanders have improved today,” said Baratz in his assignment on social networks which included the announcement that the defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale had accepted the conditions with the Pittsburgh Steelers. “Congratulations Dan and J. Let’s do that.”
Holmes started the 2024 NFL season with the New York Jets and played 103 snaps in five games for the team and joined the commanders after being released by this team.
After coming to Washington, Holmes recorded two bags in 11 games that set a new career summit for the bags in a single season.
Previously, he spent time with the Vikings of Minnesota and the Saints of New Orleans with the jets.
Holmes has just been 29 years old in January, played collegially for the Ohio State Buckeyes, and was originally a 4th round choice by the Vikings in the draft of the 2018 NFL.
