Boyd was a choice of seventh round of Vikings du Minnesota in 2019. He left the Vikes in 2023 for the Arizona cardinals But was released in October this season. A few weeks later, he joined the Houston Texans And was there until last season.
Boyd spent the majority of his career as a special teammate, having only six defense departures in 81 career games. The 28 -year -old played in 77% of the Special Texan teams last season and played the same role during the playoffs against the Chiefs of Kansas City.
This outing saw him attract the bad type of attention.
As explained by our friends to Texans Wire::
Perhaps the most memorable moment in the career of his Texans came after this escape from the Arrowhead stadium. Boyd pushed the coach of the special Texans Frank Ross teams on the sidelines after committing a penalty during a kick -off during the opening.
An incident clip can be found below:
Despite the explosion, the special team coordinator of the New Jets hired by head coach Aaron Glenn, Chris Banjo, will not have to worry. At least, not according to Houston’s head coach Demeco Ryans while he minimized the situation.
Ryans said that he was not angry with Boyd, pushing Ross and that social media took out the room out of context. This did not mean that he was satisfied with the way Boyd responded by removing his and throwing his helmet during a live game.
“I think it was more when he was pulled – too shot – and thought he had made a room to help us”, Ryans said in January. “So this story he pushes a coach is incorrect.”
Jets will continue to provide updates throughout the 2025 off -season.
