Okudah was limited to six games last season for Houston’s Texans.
Eagan, Minnesota (AP) – The Vikings of Minnesota agreed on Tuesday conditions of a contract with the Jeff Okudah corner half, adding the third overall choice of the 2020 draft whose career was diverted by injuries.
Okudah was limited to six games last season for Houston’s Texans. He suffered a hip injury while playing in special teams in the first game. Okudah played in 2023 for the Falcons of Atlanta, who acquired him for a choice of recovery of fifth round in a business with the Strait lions. He only played in 10 of the 33 possible games during his first two years with the Lions, hampered by the hamstrings, injuries to tendons of the hamstrings and Achille tendon. He torn the Achilles tendon when the 2021 opened and missed all the season.
Okudah, who played collegially at Ohio State, was the first defensive rear to repress the first three of the NFL draft since Shawn Springs was chosen third by Seattle in 1997. Derek Stingley of Houston followed in 2022 in 2022 in the third row.
Okudah has two interceptions and 14 passes defended in 44 career games. He will probably place in the depth board of the cornerback behind Byron Murphy, Isaiah Rodgers and Mekhi Blackmon.
The Vikings have also agreed with terms of a contract with the wide receiver Tim Jones, which mainly played in special teams for Jacksonville jaguars and appeared in the 17 games of each of the last three seasons. He was not drafted in 2021 in the south of the Mississippi and spent his recruit year in the Jags training team.
