Chicago Bears Defensive Dayo Odeyingbo is not yet a familiar name. Thus, when GM Ryan Polish made him one of the team’s priority signatures in 2025 NFL free agency, some fans were confused.
But a deeper dive in the Odeyingbo game, the reputation around the league and the projection to move forward have these same bears fans delighted to see what it can do in front of mounting in 2025.
And now that the dust has settled (mostly) in a free agency, it is Odeyingbo which is rented as one of the Pro Football Focus’ Five Mest Value Signings.
“Odeyingbo has experienced a slow and regular ascent in recent seasons, culminating in a global note of 66.1 pff in career in 2024,” wrote PFF. “The Bears hope that he will be able to continue to progress in front of Sweat Montez and show why he was a second round choice in 2021.”
Odeyingbo has signed a $ 48 million over three-year contract with the Bears in Chicago in the hope that its best Pass-Rush production is located. He only totaled three bags in 2024 despite the start of a career summit of 14 games, but his 2023 season, in which he recorded eight bags, is the type of production that the Bears believe that they will leave him in the defense of Dennis Allen.

Even if Chicago goes on a defensive end at the start of the NFL draft, the presence of Odeyingbo in the starting range is a massive upgrade on the peloton deployed in 2024.
