Lake Forest, ill. (AP)-The Chicago Bears signed the former return specialist in Baltimore Ravens All-Pro Devin Duvernay to a one-year contract and re-signed the ball carrier and the contributor to the special teams Travis Homer to a one-year contract on Wednesday.
DUVERNAY has 1,053 yards on the clearance covers and 2,162 yards and two affected on kick -off returns during four seasons with Baltimore and one with Jacksonville. He also has 977 yards in reception and five touchdown.
A third round choice by Baltimore from Texas in 2020, Duvernay was first, All-Pro the following year. It has an average of 13.8 yards at the head of the league on the shift yields, with 26 for 360 yards, and ranked seventh on average to kick off at 24.1, with 676 yards out of 28 attempts.
Duvernay reduced the Pro Bowl in 2022. He was mainly a non-factor in special teams with Jacksonville last season, ending with 19 returns of covers for 167 yards and 14 kick-off for 351 yards, and barely played in attack. The Jaguars released him two weeks ago.
Homer has 476 yards on the ground and 475 receiving in four seasons with Seattle and two with Chicago. He played in 10 games last year and recorded six special teams.
