The Browns of Cleveland signed the free goalkeeper Teven Jenkins on a contract on Thursday.
Jenkins, 27, was drafted 39th in total by the Bears of Chicago in 2021 and missed most of his recruit season after undergoing surgery. Initially drafted as a tackle by the former front office of the Bears, Chicago moved Jenkins from the left tackle to the right tackle to the right guard during the 2022 season. He finally went to the left guard, where he played 22 games from 2023-24.
When it is available, Jenkins was undoubtedly the best offensive line player in Chicago (four bags authorized in 2024), but several injuries forced him to miss 22 games during the first four years of his career in the NFL.
Jenkins was eligible for an extension of contract of the last season and told journalists that the Bears had declared that they were engaging in talks with their performance after the team arrived at their week in Bye during week 7. These talks never materialized, and Jenkins said that he was “mentally” ready to test his free -arrested market despite staying with Chicago.
Jenkins appeared in 45 games with 38 departures in four seasons.
Also Thursday, Cleveland re-signed the Coin Demi Brown II corner, which appeared in six games last season and succeeded in five plated in special teams.
