The Aaron Rodgers competition is still in full swing.
It was reported this week that the Vikings of Minnesota were going to roll with JJ McCarthy, but until Rodgers signed an agreement on the dotted line elsewhere or announces his retirement, anything can happen. Rodgers is a polarizing figure through the National Football League and is a future temple of fame. Even in a year of decrease with the New York Jets in 2024, he managed 28 passed passes.
If he wants to continue his career, there will be a team that gives him a chance and the banks on him approaching to form another year of his injury from Achilles which ended his first year in New York almost before the start.
With the apparently out Vikings, which will land it, however? Cody Benjamin de CBS Sports tried to predict where the Top remaining free agents Will sign and called the Pittsburgh Steelers the “best match” for Rodgers.
“The Vikings of Minnesota would be a dream destination for Rodgers, given their elite staff, their fortified game leaders and the brilliance,” said Benjamin. “The Vikings seem more determined to ride with JJ McCarthy, however, so the best match for Rodgers (in addition to retirement or to wait for a phone call induced by injuries) is probably Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh has been linked to Rodgers from the start. If it is not going to Minnesota, the Steelers would certainly be the next best option on the New York giants.
