The Buccaneers of Tampa Bay approached the position of secondary during the free agency, but they may not be made.
The writer of the Bleacher Kristopher Knox report has the buccaneers as a potential landing point for Indianapolis EJ Speed’s free agent’s second agent.

Speed at Tampa?
“We have seen an early race on the seconds outside the ball in a free agency, but EJ Speed, outside competition of Indianapolis Colts, was not among the initial signatures,” wrote Knox.
“This could be due to the fact that the speed was only a defensive starter from two years to Indy and will be 30 years old in June. It can also be a little incoherent in the plating department and has been credited with 31 missed plated in the last two seasons … The Buccaneers have re-signed Lavonte David and add Anthony Walker Jr. in a free agency. BUCs could benefit from an assist in the caliber of Speed. It may not be the most urgent need for the list, but the speed improves BUCs, and one of these types of players should be beneficial for Tampa at this stage of the offseason.
