Broncos planned to exchange the choice of first round to a familiar face

The Broncos de Denver have the overall choice n ° 20 in the first round of the NFL 2025 draft and many project analysts are starting to have the impression that it could be a niche that other teams are trying to negotiate.

Broncos, plus a team in despair mode, could be ready to separate from the selection in order to store more choices. This is how Vinnie Iyer of The Sporting News sees things taking place in her latest simulation project.

Iyer has the broncos who send their choice to the New York jets in exchange for a future first round choice and certain additional choices in this project. This would allow jets to get ahead of the Pittsburgh steelers and select the quarter-rear of Miss Jaxson Dart.

This decision would also see Broncos help Darren Mougey, now the GM of the Jets, which has spent more than a decade at the Denver Front Office.

“The Jets abandon a future choice of first round with a selection capital for this year to enter the rear half of the first round to obtain their QB franchise. Broncos are out of despair mode, and this helps that the former assistant of GM George Paton, Darren Mougey, is now his New York counterpart,” wrote Iyer.

It would be an interesting decision for broncos, but to abandon their first round choice this year, even if they get an additional first year, could be a difficult sale at the base of fans. The simulation of Iyer also has Omarion Hampton and Colston Loveland – Two popular first round options for broncos – still on the board of directors when this projected trade takes place.

The agreement makes sense for jets. They get their quarter-back from the future, taking him in front of the Steelers, where he laughs at almost everyone. But does that make sense to Denver? It’s questionable.

Broncos will have a lot to assess in this project and this will continue even after the start of the selection process. Depending on how the board of directors falls, broncos could be inclined to make the choice n ° 20. But if players like Hampton and Loveland are still on the board, it may not be a big decision.
